Alicia Vikander Stars as Lara Craft in First 'Tomb Raider' Trailer!

Alicia Vikander is so bad-ass in the trailer for her upcoming movie Tomb Raider!

The 28-year-old Oscar-winning actress is playing the role of Lara Croft, first played by Angelina Jolie over a decade ago.

The official synopsis for the movie, also starring Dominic West and Walton Goggins, has been revealed.

“Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished when she was scarcely a teen. Now a young woman of 21 without any real focus or purpose, Lara navigates the chaotic streets of trendy East London as a bike courier, barely making the rent, and takes college courses, rarely making it to class. Determined to forge her own path, she refuses to take the reins of her father’s global empire just as staunchly as she rejects the idea that he’s truly gone. Advised to face the facts and move forward after seven years without him, even Lara can’t understand what drives her to finally solve the puzzle of his mysterious death.”

“Going explicitly against his final wishes, she leaves everything she knows behind in search of her dad’s last-known destination: a fabled tomb on a mythical island that might be somewhere off the coast of Japan. But her mission will not be an easy one; just reaching the island will be extremely treacherous. Suddenly, the stakes couldn’t be higher for Lara, who—against the odds and armed with only her sharp mind, blind faith and inherently stubborn spirit—must learn to push herself beyond her limits as she journeys into the unknown. If she survives this perilous adventure, it could be the making of her, earning her the name tomb raider.”

Tomb Raider will hit theaters on March 16, 2018. Kristin Scott Thomas and Daniel Wu also star in the film.

Jennifer Lawrence's 'mother!' Gets a Rare F CinemaScore

Jennifer Lawrence‘s new movie mother! is in theaters now and audiences are not responding to it in the way the filmmakers might have hoped.

Critics gave the film favorable reviews and it currently has a 69% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but CinemaScore, which tracks audience reactions on opening night, has given the movie a rare F grade.

There aren’t that many movies that have received an F grade, with some of them being Brad Pitt‘s Killing Them Softly, Cameron Diaz‘s The Box, Lindsay Lohan‘s I Know Who Killed Me, George Clooney‘s Solaris, and Richard Gere‘s Dr. T and the Women.

One of the reasons why the movie might have received this grade is something that Jennifer even pointed out during her Late Night interview – the movie isn’t exactly a horror even though it’s billed as one. Audiences who went to see mother! expecting one movie, likely left feeling they saw a different one and gave a negative rating. The film is also very disturbing, so it’s likely that some people can’t handle the subject matter.

Regardless, you should see the movie to form your own opinion if you think you can handle the content!

Is There an 'American Assassin' End Credits Scene?

Dylan O’Brien‘s new movie American Assassin is in theaters now and it is expected to be the biggest newcomer of the weekend. So, should you stay in your seats after the film is done for a post-credits scene?

We can confirm that there is nothing after the credits, so feel free to leave without worrying about missing something!

This is Dylan‘s first starring role on the big screen since he was injured in an accident on the set of Maze Runner: The Death Cure. He was previously seen last year in a supporting role in Deepwater Horizon.

Dylan stars as Mitch Rapp, a 20-something guy who trains to be a black ops agent to seek revenge on the terrorists who he watched kill his fiancee. Michael Keaton, Taylor Kitsch, and Sanaa Lathan also star in the film.

The Emmy-nominated The Crown actress will star in the upcoming film The Girl in the Spider’s Web.

Fede Alvarez, who recently directed Don’t Breathe, is helming the upcoming movie, due in theaters on October 19, 2018.
